Great local art museum with a nice mix of galleries and artwork. The special exhibits can be quite impressive and I very much enjoyed the Ansel Adam’s exhibit. Their permanent collections have top notch art and there are enough galleries to keep you coming back again and again without seeing the same thing twice.

Saw the Ansel Adams exhibit last week, which was accompanied by other interesting photographers doing landscapes differently. Many of the more interesting ones are women, none of whom I’d heard of. Kudos to the curatorial team for bringing those photographers more attention. Definitely broadened my perspective on landscape photography. Great show.

We had mandatory tickets and an entry time to see the great Queen Nefertiti exhibit. We also went to the Nabi French post impressionism art exhibition which was very well done. Always fun to browse and get unique gifts at the Museum store. They are very precise on when you go in to the exhibit, using 15 minute blocks of time. Don’t be early.

Union Pine was the perfect venue for our wedding! It was an absolute pleasure working with them. The interior has a cool industrial look with modern furniture to complement the space. What was most appealing for my husband and I as we were venue scouting was the open catering policy, since our priority was to have the best food and catering service for our wedding. The Union Pine staff were very accommodating when our original caterer left us a month before our big event. I highly recommend this venue for any special events!

SUCH a unique venue! I am a wedding photographer, and have shot a few weddings at Union/Pine. It’s one of my favorite venues to shoot at! The lighting coming in through the windows makes for beautiful photos. The wood floors + brick walls give the space a nostalgic vibe. The space feels intimate and cozy. There are also tons of good areas for photos both inside and out. Love this venue!

Beautiful, bright gallery. My family and I stopped in to see an exhibit by Rick Bartow and inquire about a few pieces of our own that we didn’t know what to do with. Charles took the time to talk with us and point us in the right direction. 10/10 would recommend visiting.

If I could give negative stars as the rating for this review, I would more than gladly do so. Earlier this evening I entered the gallery during the first Thursday gallery art walk. I live nearby in the neighborhood so I often pass by this gallery and admire their photographs. No longer will I do so ever again.
I remembered seeing an arresting photo of Billie Holiday a few days ago in the window. I stopped in to inquire as to who captured this black and white image that touched me and stopped me on the sidewalk recently.
I saw a man standing off to the side looking at the people milling through the gallery and I assumed he was someone who works there or the owner. I then asked him if he was a curator or docent of the gallery. This prompted an unnecessary and condescending sneer in which he took the liberty and short pause of time to look me up and down and disapproval and correct me passive-aggressively without stating that he was correcting me that he is the gallery owner. Then I post my question to him, received an answer, and thanked him and bid him farewell and exited even though his behavior was completely uncalled for, rude, and belittling.
I was dressed in designer clothes, carry myself well, have excellent diction, and speak three languages fluently, but he obviously couldn’t see that due to the color of my skin. he made me keenly aware without saying so that I was the only person of color in the room.
I’m boycotting this bigot, encouraging everyone I know, and perhaps many people I don’t know, to do the same. I will shout it from the rooftops to whoever will listen in order to hopefully help other people of color avoid a similar scenario in this rascist man’s fine art photography gallery.

Everytime I visit Portland I always make time to come here. Got a Sam Flores shirt years ago from my brother and been on the hunt for more ever since. If you’re into unique art apparel at semi-reasonable prices, this is absolutely worth it.

Run, don’t walk, to see the sculptural ceramics by the artist Ivan Carmona. The work is full of character with subtle textures best discovered in person. The vibrant color with a super-matte finish transports the artist’s Puerto Rican heritage to this wonderful PDX gallery.

Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable in helping me pick the best frame for my painting. My son painted it so it needed to be the very best to showcase his work. Its exactly as I imagined and looks amazing on our wall. Prices are competitive. Highly recommend!
